Drumline Auditions

Auditions are open to all high school seniors and current college students considering attending EMU in Fall '06. We are now recruiting people for Drumline auditions which are
fast approaching.
Here is the current info:
- Music Mailings begin the week of (TBA)
- Auditions will take place on (TBA)
- Audition spots will be awarded to everyone tentitivly
after the
primary audition. A re-audition will occur in the week following to
secure your spot or challenge someone else for their previous spot.
- You are garunteed constant playing time during
auditions if you
bring your own instrument.
Instrument Audition
Requirements:
- Cymbals - learn both parts of the cymbal duet, all
the
excersizes, and the memorization excerpt.
- Basses - learn both parts of the cymbal duet, all the
excersizes,
and the memorization excerpt.
- Tenors - play the required excerpt, all the
excersizes, and the
memorization excerpt.
- Snares - Prepare a RUDIMENTAL style solo, learn all
the
excersizes, and the memorization excerpt.
Instruction
The section leaders are Rob Abend and Nick Arnold.
Instructors are Jason Inhat and John Dorsey (EMU Professor of Percussion)
